Deep Thoughts From the Inquisitor General

If Pope Alexander VI were alive today, and throwing wild parties like he did during the Renaissance, would Paris Hilton be invited to any of them? After all, it just isn't a party these days without her in attendance. At least that's what all of our Hollywood correspondents tell us.

Reminds me of "Deep Thoughts With Jack Handy" on Saturday Night Live back in the days when it was actually funny.

My question is, if Alexander VI was alive today, would all the neo-cons still be telling us we must support the Pope, the Pope can do no wrong! How dare you criticize the Pope's orgies you integralist!

Let us not forget that Alexander VI divided the new world between Spain and Portugal and thus made it possible for the Inquisition to come to the Americas and do its work. Had California and the rest of Mexico not stolen themselves from Spain and then been stolen (in part) by the United States then la Hilton would be a participant in an auto-de-fe and have cause to comment "That's hot".
